Who is responsible
The data controller is Jan Mikael Granner (New Business Opportunities). Contact: jmgranner@gmail.com.
We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for every visitor, wherever you live. This also covers Nigeria's Data Protection Act (NDPA 2023) and similar laws.
What we collect and why
Account: your email address, so we can send sign-in links (contract, Art. 6(1)(b)).
Mobile number: to confirm you are a real person, checked by SMS when you join and every 3 months (legitimate interest in a safe community, Art. 6(1)(f)). We store only a scrambled version of each code, for 10 minutes.
Profile: name, city, introduction, interests, skills you share or want to learn, and an optional business link. You choose what to write, and other members can see it.
Payments: if you buy the business link, Stripe handles the payment. We only see whether your subscription is active and when it renews.
Requests: city requests, meeting requests and reports you send us.
In your browser: language, chosen city, joined example events and badges. These stay on your own device.
AI suggestions
If you press "Suggest with AI", the text you typed is sent to an AI model to draft a profile. The result is marked as AI-made, is never saved automatically, and is not used to make decisions about you.
Who helps us (processors)
Hosting and database: Lovable Cloud (EU/US infrastructure).
SMS: GatewayAPI (EU).
Payments: Stripe.
AI suggestions: AI model provider through the Lovable AI Gateway.
Map: OpenStreetMap tiles. Your browser loads them directly, so they see your IP address.
Where data leaves the EU, it is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Account and profile: until you delete your account.
SMS codes: 10 minutes. Payment records: as long as accounting law requires (5 years in Denmark).
Requests and reports: until they are handled, then at most 12 months.
Your rights
You can see, correct, download and delete your data. Under "My account" you can download your data or delete your account yourself.
You can also object, restrict processing, or ask us anything at jmgranner@gmail.com. We answer within one month.
You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, www.datatilsynet.dk) or the data authority where you live.
